Defensive Driving Level 1

An extreme driving course is useful not only for professional racers but also for beginner drivers. The number of road accidents increases every year due to inattention, driver haste, unrefined reactions, and lack of response skills in extreme situations.

The goal of the Level 1 course is to bring defensive vehicle control skills to automatism by providing comprehensive theoretical information and reinforcing it in practice.

The Extreme Driving Level 1 course includes:

• Theoretical training;
• Effective steering (choosing steering wheel rotation speed, hand positioning, driver seating position);
• Forward and reverse maneuvering;
• Developing a sense of vehicle dimensions; parking in confined spaces;
• Building an optimal driving trajectory;
• Effective braking and various methods of stopping the vehicle;
• Vehicle axle load transfer techniques;
• Avoiding suddenly appearing obstacles;

Defensive Driving Level 2

The Level 2 defensive driving course includes a number of more “aggressive” exercises, including learning the “police turn,” track driving to practice proper trajectory building, and many other non-trivial driving techniques.

We specifically divided the defensive driving courses into 2 levels: Level 1 reveals the vehicle’s capabilities and potential to the student, laying the foundation of knowledge and skills for everyday driving. Level 2 turns a very good, confident driver into a semi-professional. In this course, you will learn fascinating techniques that will make you look at driving in a completely different way!

During training, students become familiar with the nuances of vehicle control in non-standard situations, practice reaction and action algorithms for accident-free driving.

The Extreme Driving Level 2 course includes:

• Theoretical training;
• Effective steering (correct hand positioning, steering wheel rotation speed);
• Rational use of vehicle load transfer in emergency situations and on the racetrack;
• Practicing handbrake techniques (very exciting!);
• Vehicle stabilization when control is lost (understeer, oversteer);
• Police turn in a confined corridor;
• Timed slalom in front-wheel-drive and rear-wheel-drive cars.

Extreme Driving

 Extreme driving courses in Kyiv are in high demand. Individual techniques and the overall level of training of a driver who has completed extreme driving courses provide confidence and clarity of action for defensive driving in difficult conditions: low visibility, slippery surfaces, and heavy traffic.

The course does not involve a full program. It consists of one introductory extreme driving session. During the process, the driver can objectively choose the training direction of interest.

An extreme driving lesson at the autodrome involves learning correct behavior in emergency situations: during skids in turns, sudden braking and acceleration, and obstacle avoidance to prevent collisions.

Extreme driving courses are useful for corporate clients, especially if the company’s activities are related to transportation or frequent business trips by personal vehicle. Winter Driving

 An extreme driving course in winter is an important element of training a confident driver. Winter is the most difficult period for vehicle control, during which drivers face many potentially dangerous factors — fog, slippery road surfaces, snow drifts, and low visibility in poor lighting conditions.

Defensive driving courses in winter include:

• Theoretical training;
• Principles of trajectory building on slippery surfaces;
• Practical training in various weather and road conditions;
• Vehicle control, braking, and stabilization when control is lost on slippery surfaces;

Every driver is recommended to complete a full snow driving course or at least a single winter extreme driving session to prepare mentally and technically for upcoming extreme conditions and feel confident on unstable surfaces in difficult weather conditions.

How are the classes conducted?

Regardless of the course, a session lasts 2 hours. At the first meeting, a defensive driving instructor observes the driver during a trial run, determines their level of training, and selects an individual training program.

At the defensive driving school, students alternate theory with practice, working on techniques and methods under the instructor’s supervision.

An extreme driving lesson has a comprehensive format — in one session, the student becomes familiar with the main control techniques while working in pairs with an extreme driving instructor.
